Curriculum

Our Curriculum Intent

Our curriculum is about bringing engagement, fun and enthusiasm to learning so that our children develop independent curiosity, acquire a lifelong appetite for learning and become well-rounded individuals who achieve their full potential, both personally and academically. Our curriculum starts from the children in our academy and works out.

Subject Centred Curriculum

Our ambitious curriculum is divided into subjects. Emphasis is placed on acquisition, recall, and knowledge of each specific subject area. This is so that our children can increase their knowledge, embed their skills and therefore deepen their understanding.

Children in Years 1-6 are taught the National Curriculum subjects. These are:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Design and Technology
  • History
  • Geography
  • Art and Design
  • Music
  • Physical Education
  • Computing
  • Religious Education
  • Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education
  • Relationships and Sex Education
  • Foreign Languages (Years 3-6)
